WHITEFIELD, NH—New Hampshire’s award-winning Weathervane Theatre is pleased to present Grease— the original high school musical. Classic and nostalgic, this beloved musical opens on July 9th.

Put on your poodle skirts, pedal pushers, and leather jackets, and hand-jive your cares away in Grease! Set in 1959 at Rydell High, “Greaser” Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their “Summer Nights” as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through the soundtrack of a generation featuring the unforgettable tunes “Greased Lightnin’,” “Hopelessly Devoted to You,” “You’re the one that I Want,” and more! Rollicking and electrifying, Grease is the word for perfect summer entertainment.

Weathervane’s Intern Program Director, Marisa Kirby, directs and choreographs the production. Kirby directed and choreographed last season’s The Wedding Singer. Also Weathervane’s resident choreographer, Kirby has choreographed numerous crowd-pleasing productions, including Sister Act, Hello, Dolly!, Green Day’s American Idiot, and Jesus Christ Superstar.

“I am so excited to be back at the Weathervane for Season 60, and I couldn’t be any more excited to direct and choreograph Grease,” said Kirby. “We all love Grease—the movie, the songs, and the dance moves. It will be a blast you don’t want to miss!”

The cast of Grease features Brady McGuire (Danny), Ria Yamdagni (Sandy), Joshua Thompson (Kenickie), Emmie Pack (Rizzo), Jake Van Eycken (Doody), Grace McTier (Frenchy), Eli Butler (Roger), Hannah Showalter (Jan), Nolo Gonzalez (Sonny), Lindsey Ross (Marty), Mack McCloud (Patty), Steven Dias (Eugene), Dani Barrett (Cha Cha), Carrie Greenberg (Miss Lynch), Jeremy Lloyd (Johnny Casino/Teen Angel), and Lew Whitener (Vince Fontaine). Mallory Blanchard, Claudia Canuto, and Josie Cromer make up the ensemble. Dani Barrett is the dance captain.

In addition to Kirby, the creative team for Grease includes Bronwen Chan (music direction), Emma Cullen (lighting design), Gabbie Flores (properties design), AP Pikiben (costume design, production management, and intimacy coordinator), Rien Schlecht (set design), Jason Luck (scenic charge), Vero Villalobos (technical director), TessaMarie Beard (production stage manager), and Ophelia Beebe (assistant stage manager).

Grease also features a five-piece band under the direction of Bronwen Chan—Bronwen Chan (keys), Ben Natti (guitar), Shannon Oliver (bass), Kevin Silva (reeds), and Vero Villalobos (drums).

Performing in alternating repertory, Grease runs July 9 – August 16, 2025. Special events for Grease include an opening night champagne reception (July 9) where patrons can mix and mingle with the cast and the creative team at this intimate ticketed event.

Single tickets for Grease are on sale now at weathervanenh.org. Grease is sponsored by Kerner’s Car Wash & Quick Lube.

Weathervane’s 60th season runs now through October 12, 2025. Additional Season 60 titles include THE SHARK IS BROKEN, BECOMING DR. RUTH, WAITRESS, ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS, HONKY TONK ANGELS, DIRTY BLONDE, THE TEMPEST, and THE PRODUCERS: A MEL BROOKS MUSICAL. Season 60 tickets start at $29.
