WHITEFIELD, NH—New Hampshire’s award-winning Weathervane Theatre is pleased to present the special event, One Man, Two Guvnors: In Concert, to celebrate the upcoming production of One Man, Two Guvnors, opening later this month. This one-night-only event of skiffle music is on Friday, August 8th at 7:30 PM.

Before The Beatles, there was The Craze!

Led by bandleader Ira Kramer (Weathervane’s Jesus Christ Superstar and Million Dollar Quartet), join The Craze — the electrifying skiffle band from One Man, Two Guvnors as they bring the spirit of 1960s Britain to life with their infectious energy and toe-tapping tunes, that’s as much a part of the story as the comedy itself.

Music is integral in One Man, Two Guvnors, an uproarious farce set in swinging-’60s England, where skiffle music reigned supreme. A down-home blend of jazz, blues, and folk, skiffle music is played with a mix of manufactured and homemade or improvised instruments like washboards and kazoos, with banjos and guitars.

Considered a key part of One Man, Two Guvnors’ comedic and energetic atmosphere, The Craze plays 15 original songs by Gary Olding throughout the show. Led by Kramer, the other members of The Craze include Bronwen Chan (Come From Away National Tour, Wicked films), Andrew Morrissey (award-winning Weathervane Resident Music Director), and AC Muench (Little Women, South Pacific, An American in Paris National Tours). The four musicians will play at least a dozen instruments.

Kramer known for his roles onstage, makes his Weathervane music director debut with One Man, Two Guvnors.

“The band has had a blast interpreting this energetic and witty music,” said Kramer. “We’re excited to share these earworms with everyone who joins us for the concert and hope that you enjoy listening as much as we enjoy playing!”

Tickets for One Man, Two Guvnors: In Concert are $12-$15 and are available for purchase at weathervanenh.org or by calling 603-837-9322. One Man, Two Guvnors is part of Weathervane Theatre’s 60th season and opens August 12th and performs in alternating repertory through August 30th. Tickets are on sale now.
