Weathervane Theatre to Host Local Auditions Next Month

Local Auditions for Season 59 will be held on Friday, May 3, from 3 PM to 7:30 PM. All ages are welcome.

WHITEFIELD, NH—Weathervane Theatre announces local auditions for its upcoming 59th season (running June 13—October 13, 2024) for all productions in our mainstage season, including North Country Shakes: Shakespeare 101, What the Constitution Means to Me, The Wedding Singer, The Full Monty, and Cabaret.

 

Auditions will be held at White Mountains Regional High School, located at 127 Regional Road in Whitefield, NH, on Friday, May 3rd, from 3 – 7:30 PM. Auditionees should be prepared to present a brief monologue and a brief (30-60 seconds) song selection. Please note that an accompanist will not be provided at this audition, so auditionees must provide their own accompaniment track or sing a capella. Weathervane will provide amplification. Weathervane seeks local talent of all ages. Male-identifying youth performers are strongly encouraged to audition for The Full Monty, and female-identifying youth performers are strongly encouraged to audition for What the Constitution Means to Me. Please note that Weathervane will work with school schedules.

Weathervane’s 59th season opens June 13, 2024, and runs through October 13, 2024. Season productions include Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, What the Constitution Means to Me, The Wedding Singer, Skeleton Crew, Gallery, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, The Full Monty,  Clue, Romeo & Juliet, and Cabaret. ABOUT THE WEATHERVANE

The Weathervane Theatre was founded in 1965 by Gibbs Murray and the late Tom Haas and is under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Ethan Paulini. It has presented high-quality professional productions of plays and musicals for over half a century. One of the few remaining alternating rep companies in the United States, the Weathervane is recognized as a historical institution nationwide, boasting among its alums 2021 Tony nominee Elizabeth Stanley, Tally Sessions, four-time Tony nominee Judy Kuhn, and recent Tony Award Winner Ari’el Stachel.
