Auditions for the 2025 resident professional performance company have concluded following our contract with the Actors’ Equity Association (LOA, ref LORT-D). Union and non-union talent were hired from AEA auditions in NYC and Boston, the A1 theatre conference, and video submissions. Additional local talent will be cast from local auditions on Sunday, May 4th & Monday, May 5th.
The resident professional performance company will be filled in accordance with our contract with Actors’ Equity Association (LOA, ref LORT-D). For the 2026 season, Weathervane is seeking union and non-union talent. Weathervane will also hire members of their 2026 Bridge Company from these auditions. An ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of scenic construction, creative problem solving skills, show qualities of leadership, be able to guide a technical team through a season, be responsible for ordering and keeping materials stocked, and be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly. This person will work closely with the other designers and directors and will collaborate with the other properties designer for the design and creation of properties for all productions (Tick, Tick Boom, Private Lives, Rent, Xanadu, Come From Away, Peter Pan Goes Wrong, TYA Series). An ideal candidate will have the skills to build and create unique props to be used throughout the season, be creative and resourceful, be self-motivating and collaborative, have the ability to maintain the props for the duration of the contract, and the ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly. We are seeking experienced bar staff for our lobby bar. Weathervane Theatre is a live professional theatre with a bar open whenever a Mainstage performance or event occurs. We are looking for fun and energetic people to join our team and serve drinks and snacks before our shows. Servers must be reliable, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and available on evenings, weekends, and select weekday afternoons. While experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidates.
