Weathervane Theatre Presents the 80s Rollerskating Musical XANADU

WHITEFIELD, NH—Producing Artistic Director Ethan Paulini and New Hampshire’s award-winning Weathervane Theatre are pleased to present the delightfully fun and campy musical XANADU.

 

From the golden age of romantic comedies and legwarmers comes XANADU, a hilarious ‘80s musical about Kira, a Greek muse, who helps struggling artist Sonny achieve his dream of opening the first roller disco! Forbidden love, jealous sisters, and chaos ensue, all set to your favorite 1980s hits like “Magic,” “Xanadu,” “Evil Woman,” and “All Over the World.” Don’t walk away from this Tony-nominated magical hit!

 

XANADU is directed by Weathervane Producing Artistic Director Ethan Paulini, choreographed by Ashley McManus, and music directed by Noah Huseman.

 

XANADU is the theatrical equivalent of a guilt-free summer beach read. Paulini explains:

The cast of XANADU features Carrie Wagner (Clio/Kira), Max DeSantis (Sonny Malone), Robert H. Fowler (Danny Maguire/Zeus), Becca Ayers (Melpomene/Medusa), Jewell Noel (Calliope/Aphrodite), Margaux Marak (Thalia, et al), Dani Barrett (Euterpe et al), Ashley McManus (Erato, et aL), and Jeremy Lloyd (Terpsichore, et al). Robert H. Fowler is the dance captain.

 

XANADU includes design by Jeremy Baldauf and Ashley Harkey (sound), Cass Burgess (properties), Christa LeBlanc (set), Claire Morgan (costume), and Chris Payne (lighting and projections). Additional creative team: Sam Powers (production stage manager), Reed Davis, Rien Schlecht, Hannah Showalter, Aasrith Veerapaneni (assistant stage management), Seth Bowen (technical director), Christa LeBlanc (scenic charge), and Jeremy Baldauf and AP Pikiben (production management).

 

Phil Burns (keys 2), Noah Huseman (keys 1), Jessie Lanham (drums), and Ben Natti (guitar) make up the band of XANADU, under the direction of Huseman.

 

Performing in alternating repertory, XANADU opens July 29 and runs in alternating repertory through August 22, 2026. Special events for XANADU include an opening-night champagne reception on July 29th, where patrons can mix and mingle with the cast and creative team at this intimate, ticketed event.
