When Lana Mae Hopkins, owner and proprietress of the Wishy Washy Washateria, hires Katie, they soon find themselves up to their elbows in soap, suds, and cheatin’ hearts. Watch these two country angels join forces to transform the laundromat into a bootscootin’ honky-tonk and exact a touch of revenge against those that done ‘em wrong.

Ethan Paulini (he/him)

EIGHTH SEASON

In addition to being the Producing Artistic Director of the Weathervane Theatre, Ethan served as the Associate Artistic Director of New York City’s Out of the Box Theatrics. He has national credits as a director, choreographer, actor, writer, and educator. Proud member of Society of Directors and Choreographers (SDC) and Screen Actors Guild/American Federation of Television and Radio Actors (SAG/AFTRA) and a member of Actors’ Equity Association (AEA). Andrew Morrissey (he/him)

FOURTH SEASON

Andrew Morrissey is a NYC based pianist, music director, vocal coach and composer. Experience includes educational, community and semi-professional theatre in NH, NYC and the DMV area. A NH native, regional credits include Interlakes, Jean’s Playhouse, Winnipesaukee Playhouse and Plymouth State University, where he received a BA in Music. He has a MM in stage music composition from CUA, and his thesis project grew into a fully fledged staging of Lost In Wonderland with DC’s Pallas Theatre Collective. Current projects include a new musical based on Oscar Wilde’s Dorian Gray and another on the life of Rasputin. IG: @Andrewmorrisseymusic

THIRD SEASON 

Billy is grateful to return this season. He has fallen in love with Weathervane and is proud to be a part of this exciting season. Billy holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Limestone University.

ROGER BEAN 

Roger Bean created the long-running Off-Broadway smash hit The Marvelous Wonderettes (Westside Theatre), along with the sequels Wonderettes: Caps & Gowns, Winter Wonderettes, and Wonderettes: Dream On. Original cast albums for all Wonderettes shows are available from iTunes and Amazon. The Marvelous Wonderettes received the 2007 LA Ovation Award for Best Musical for its record-breaking Los Angeles run and continues to be an audience favorite in regional and amateur theatre companies throughout the country. Mr. Bean’s doo-wop hit Life Could Be A Dream had a record-breaking 12-month run in Los Angeles, receiving the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award, the LA Weekly Theatre Award, and the Backstage Garland Award for Outstanding Musical.

Mr. Bean wrote and created the popular jukebox musicals Summer of Love, The Andrews Brothers, Route 66, Honky Tonk Laundry, and Why Do Fools Fall In Love?, all currently available through Broadway Licensing. Additional musicals created by Mr. Bean include Don’t Touch That Dial!, That’s Amoré, and Beach Blanket Bash.

CAMDEN DALIE KEECH (he/him)

FIRST SEASON 

Camden hails from Central Arkansas where he graduated with a BA with an emphasis in Theatre Arts. He began acting as a freshman in high school. In college he spent
time acting, designing, building and directing. He hopes you enjoy the show!

SCOUT HOUGH (she/her)
FIFTH SEASON

Scout is an Orono, Maine based designer and technician, but always looks forward to summers in the White Mountains! She earned her BFA at the North Carolina School of the Arts and is
currently working toward her Master’s at UMaine, building her own program of study centered on ethics in collaborative art-making. When not at Weathervane, she works predominantly in Maine; credits include work with Penobscot Theatre Company, True North Theatre, and the University of Maine. Other credits include programming work at New York Live Arts and Lighting Design for Out of the Box Theatrics’ production of Baby.

GIBBS MURRAY (he/him)

FIFTY-EIGHTH SEASON 

Gibbsco-founded Weathervane Theatre back in 1966 and is still Weathervane’s resident designer for sets, posters, and illustrations. Favorite roles: Elwood P. Dowd, Captain Hook, Bottom. 2023 set designs include Meteor Shower, Honky Tonk Laundry, MAMMA MIA!, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

RIEN SCHLECHT (she/her)
NINETEENTH SEASON

After graduating with degrees in Criminal Profiling and Costume Design, Rien started working at Weathervane Theatre and is always so happy to return to the mountains. Her favorite Weathervane designs include Blood Brothers (set/costume), Eurydice (set/costume), Buyer & Cellar (set design), A Man of No Importance, Sweeney Todd (NH Theatre Award), Once on this Island, Memphis (NHTA nom), The King and I (NHTA nom), Seussical, Bright Star, Little Shop of Horrors, and Amadeus (set/costumes). Her New York theatre credits include multiple shows with Out of the Box Theatrics including the Drama Desk nominated Baby, several seasons with Theatre For A New Audience, Radio City, Mark Morris Ballet, and TV commercials. She designed The Mysteries at The Flea (Drama Desk nom), The Jinx for HBO, worked on The Woodsman at New World Stages, and the stage and film productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Julie Taymor. ROBERT SALERNO (he/him)

SECOND SEASON 

Robert is excited to return to the Weathervane for a second season (Sound Design – MDQ, Eurydice, Gentleman’s Guide, JCS, A Class Act, Blood Brothers, ACL). Most recently he has worked on La Cage Aux Folles at The Studio Theater and Miss Saigon at WPPAC.

KATHRYN SUTTON (she/her)

FIRST SEASON

Kathryn is a theatremaker from Bryan, Texas. Previous experience includes Emerson props intern at the Opera Theatre of St. Louis, props supervisor for the Winnipesaukee Playhouse 2022 season, and head props on The Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer national tour. She is eager to join the production team for this season!

MAKENNA ALLEN (she/her)
SECOND SEASON 

Makenna is thrilled to be welcomed back for her second season. As a local who grew up coming to the Weathervane, she is excited to now be part of the crew who makes the magic happen.

NICK PRAZNIAK (he/him)

FIRST SEASON 

Nick is from Eugene, OR. He works as a union stagehand with The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 675 in Eugene. Union stagehand credits: Hamilton, Wicked, Lion King, Fiddler on the Roof, Rent, Jersey Boys, South Pacific and more. He has also worked locally in the Eugene community and throughout the state with Western Oregon University, University of Oregon Theater, Very Little Theater, Oregon Contemporary Theater, Lane Community College, and Artists Repertory Theater.

WHITLEY BODY* (she/her)

Whitley is ecstatic to be returning to the Weathervane Theatre. Previously, she has done three tours with TheaterWorksUSA. In addition to stage managing, Whitley has two businesses and is a playwright. Much love to her Heavenly Angel Uncle Mike!

EMMA ALDRICH JORDAN (she/her)

FIRST SEASON

Emma has been a White Mountain local for the past three years and spent summers in Bethlehem growing up. Her first experience with theater was with the Windsock Camp in the late 2000s! Emma studied theater in high school and took a break from theater during the pandemic shutdown. After this hiatus from theater, Emma is exalted to be a part of Weathervane’s 2023 summer season.
