WHITEFIELD, NH—New Hampshire’s award-winning Weathervane Theatre is pleased to announce enrollment for its summer theatre day camp – Windsock – will open Monday, January 12th.

For over 20 years, Windsock Camp has brought campers from across the White Mountains region to the Weathervane and introduced them to the building blocks of theatre, with all the fun of a typical summer day camp.

Leading Windsock Camp this year is Ophelia Beebe. A North Country native, Beebe first came to Windsock as a camper before working her way up the ranks as a CIT, counselor, and now camp director.

“Windsock has been such a special place for me growing up,” said Beebe. “I started going to Windsock Camp just because I wanted to spend the summer with my friend. I was immediately hooked, and I’ve been there ever since.”

Beebe continues:

“I hope the campers get a chance to discover the wonder of theatre. I want these campers to come out of the experience wanting more. If this community can serve as a springboard for young actors to discover their passion, I’ve done my job.”

Currently studying theatre education at Keene State College, Beebe is a graduate of Lisbon Regional High School and has directed youth productions throughout the North Country. Her favorites include Associate Director (Fiddler on the Roof, The Wizard of Oz) and Director (Murder At The Banquet). Now in her fourth season with the Weathervane, Beebe has worn many hats outside of Windsock, including actor, technician, and stage manager.

Grace Livingston Kramer will once again serve as Executive Director of Windsock Camp. Livingston Kramer, a Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) director and educator with international credits, is in her fifth season with the camp and her eighth season with Weathervane Theatre.

Known for her work on and off stage, Livingston Kramer is Weathervane’s company manager and a resident acting company member. Her stage credits include Rosie in Mamma Mia!, Missy in Winter Wonderettes, and her New Hampshire Theatre Alliance Award-nominated turn as Peaseblossom in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Livingston Kramer has also served as a guest director for Weathervane Theatre’s Patchwork Players for four seasons (Tommie Sawyer, Pinocchio, Cinderella, and Last Chance Tuesday).

Outside of Weathervane, Grace recently served as the Development Director for Education at Maine’s Penobscot Theatre Company. In addition to overseeing their youth theatre programming (Dramatic Academy), Grace choreographed many Dramatic Academy productions, including The Addams Family, SpongeBob, and Coraline. She is a founding member of HEART Global, a non-profit focused on connecting students worldwide through music. Her music outreach nonprofit work has taken her across North America, Europe, and Japan, where she teaches students of all ages.

Running July 27 – August 7, 2026, Windsock will offer two one-week camps for ages 8-11 and one two-week camp for ages 8-17. The camp day starts at 9 AM and ends at 4 PM and is divided into blocks of rehearsal for the camp show and blocks of instruction from Weathervane guest and resident artists covering all aspects of theatre (dance, music, Shakespeare, tech, etc.), strengthening the connection between the campers and the Weathervane resident company. Campers also receive exclusive behind-the-scenes access to Weathervane’s highly anticipated productions of Rent and Xanadu. Additional perks for campers include complimentary Patchwork Players performance tickets and discounts for select Mainstage productions. New for 2026, campers can opt in for a professional headshot session with Weathervane’s resident photographer, Lew Whitener. Entering his sixth season with Weathervane, Whitener’s award-winning photography has been published in The New York Times, NY Post, People, and Maxim. Session includes styling by Weathervane’s award-winning resident costume designer Rien Schlecht.

Windsock will present its final camp show on Saturday, August 8, at 10 AM on Weathervane’s outdoor stage. A complete theatrical production, the show will include elements like props, costumes, music, and a set. The camp show will only feature campers enrolled in the second week of camp (August 3-7).

Camp registration opens Friday, January 12th. Camp pricing starts at $439. Family discounts and scholarship opportunities are available. Book by Sunday, January 25th, and save up to $285. Camp registration includes the classic Windsock Camp tye dye experience and complimentary tickets to a Patchwork Players performance at the Weathervane.
