Weathervane Theatre’s Patchwork Players Close Season with Broadway Bound and the Quest

WHITEFIELD, NH—Weathervane Theatre’s 2026 Patchwork Players will close their season with Broadway Bound 2: Big Roles, Bigger Dreams and The Quest. Sponsored by Crosstown Motors, Little Village Toy & Book Shop, New England Wire Technologies, and Passumpsic Bank, these family-friendly productions will be performed throughout the North Country now through August 21st.

Playing now through August 7th is Broadway Bound 2: Big Roles, Bigger Dreams. The next chapter of Broadway Bound is here! These performers are all grown up and can’t play the kid roles they once loved, but now they dream of the big roles they hope to play one day. Full of fun Broadway songs from classic shows like The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, and The Sound of Music, this show will make you want to sing, dance, and cheer along! Whether you love performing or just love to dream, this show is all about imagining big and believing anything is possible. Broadway Bound 2 is created, directed, and choreographed by Marisa Kirby with music direction by Noah Huseman. 

Closing Patchwork’s 2026 season is The Quest. Celebrate kindness, courage, and compassion in this movement-driven theatrical adventure! Jon J. Muth’s beloved retelling of Leo Tolstoy’s timeless fable, The Three Questions, comes to life in a visually rich and captivating production. Physical storytelling transforms the stage into a world of discovery as the story unfolds with heart and imagination, gently revealing the universal truths about what matters most. 

 

The Quest is adapted, directed, and choreographed by Marisa Kirby. With over fifteen years of experience in theatre, dance, and education, Marisa is nationally recognized for her work with aspiring young artists— many of whom have gone on to perform on Broadway, TV/film, cruise lines, and music videos.

 

The design team for both productions includes Susan Gibbs (props design), Ashley Harkey (sound design), Christa LeBlanc (set design), and Hannah Showalter (costume design). Additional creative team: Aasrith Veerapaneni (production stage manager), Jeremy Baldauf (production manager), and Seth Bowen (technical director).

 

Composing the cast of both productions are the 2026 Patchwork Players, four early-career artists selected from a highly competitive nationwide search. The 2026 Patchwork Players are Tyne Dougherty (Waco, Texas), Margaux Marak (Little Rock, Arkansas), Chloe Mendoza Smith (New Canaan, Connecticut), and Shai Vaknine (New York, New York). Also known as the Weathervane BridgeCO Program, the program is run by Weathervane BridgeCO Director Marisa Kirby.

 

BridgeCo, also known as Bridge Company, an elite performance company of early career professionals, is a new initiative for the Weathervane and replaces its intern program.

For the seventh consecutive season, performances at the Weathervane will be held outside as part of the popular Picnic with Patchwork series. Picnic with Patchwork performances are every Friday at 11 AM through August 21st. Bring a blanket, pack a snack, and enjoy a fantastic, pet-friendly show that’s fun for the whole family — even your dog! In the event of rain, alternate arrangements will be made (check facebook.com/weathervanetheatre for the latest updates). 

 

In addition to performances at the Weathervane (August 14 and 21), The Quest will also play on the road at Groveton’s GDK Memorial Field (Tuesday, August 11), Bethlehem’s Colonial Theatre (Wednesday, August 12), and Colebrook’s Great North Woods Center for the Arts (Wednesday, August 19). All performances are at 11 AM.
