WHITEFIELD, NH—Producing Artistic Director Ethan Paulini and New Hampshire’s award-winning Weathervane Theatre is pleased to announce it will present the regional premiere of Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill: The Musical.

Based on Alanis Morissette’s world-changing music, this Tony and Grammy Award-winning new musical about a perfectly imperfect American family is brimming with joy, strength, love, courage, and life. The Healys appear to be a picture-perfect suburban family – but looks can be deceiving. When the cracks beneath the surface begin to show, they must choose between maintaining the status quo or facing harsh truths about themselves, their community, and the world around them.

Weathervane Producing Artistic Director Ethan Paulini will direct the production.

“Once again, Weathervane finds itself at the forefront of the American Regional Theatre landscape with the Regional Premiere of this Broadway hit,” said Paulini. “I am so proud to give our audiences something new and exciting while bringing this iconic album to the stage. Season 60 is a huge milestone, and I know Jagged Little Pill will be an unforgettable and historic way to kick things off.”

Jagged Little Pill has a special connection to the Weathervane as Elizabeth Stanley, whose star turn in the original Broadway production garnered her a 2020 Tony nomination, is a Weathervane alum. A 2003 resident acting company member, Stanley is remembered for her notable performances as Mother in Ragtime and one-half of the famous Hilton sisters in Side Show.
